Meet the team

The Manager of Old Hastings House

The current manager is Sara Phillips who was appointed to this role in March 2025. Sara is a registered nurse and has a wealth of knowledge in the health and social care sector. Sara is also the manager of our sister service, The Laurels Care Centre which is located a short distance from Old Hastings House.

In Sara’s spare time, she enjoys gardening and crochet.

Administrator

Joanna Thomas, BA (Hons)

The Administrator’s role is to:
• support the Home Manager in the efficient management of his / her administration and financial responsibilities.
• In her spare time Jo can be found camping or walking her dog

Activity Team Leader NVQ 3

Pauline Glenet

Leads the activity team in the delivery of diverse, person-centred and vibrant opportunities for all residents.
In her spare time Pauline can be found following her beloved Brighton FC, working out and walking her dog.

Senior Team Leader NVQ 4

Janet Fox

• Supports the manager with the operation of the Main House along with the effective and ethical leadership of senior staff.
• Janet previously managed Grosvenor House for 20 years

Care Quality Lead NVQ 4

Charlene Welsh

• Supports the Home Manager in the efficient management of all matters relating to resident care plans.
• Carries out audits of all aspects of the care quality system necessary for effective governance including medication, resident satisfaction surveys, and falls prevention and has worked in the home for 17 years .

Natasha Truth NVQ 4

• Has a supervisory responsibility for senior staff for both the Magdalen Dementia and All-Saints Suite on days and has worked in the home for 17 years.

Kerry McNaughton NVQ 4

• Has a supervisory responsibility for night staff for both the Magdalen Dementia and All-Saints Suite and has worked in the home for 12 years .

Janet Stevens NVQ4

• Has a supervisory responsibility for the Main House night team and has worked in the home for over 30 years.
