Care and facilities

Standing in its own grounds, the main building was constructed in 1700. Two extensions built in the 1980s and 1990s provide three quarters of the residents rooms and the new Magdalen Suite has a further 15 en-suite bedrooms.

There are fine views from the house, which is located in the village-like Hastings Old Town.

In total there are 59 single rooms, all with en-suite toilet facilities. The rooms vary in size but are all within the guidelines set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Rooms are arranged over three floors with lift access to each floor.

In the main house there are two Lounges, three Dining Rooms and a Conservatory, a treatment room, a small shop, a hair salon and a large well equipped laundry.

In The Magdalen Higher Care Suite there is a communal lounge / conservatory, dining room and patio.
