The Facilities
The main
building is a fine house built for an eighteenth century Mayor of
Hastings, standing in its own grounds. Two extensions built in the 1980s
and 1990s provide three quarters of the residents rooms. There are fine
views from the house, which is located in the village-like Hastings Old
Town.
There are
45 single rooms, all with en-suite toilet facilities. The rooms vary in
size but are all within the guidelines set out by the Care Quality
Commission (CQC).
There is
also a cottage in the grounds which has two self contained flats which
provide sheltered accommodation (the occupants take their meals in the
House and have access to all the facilities).
The rooms
are arranged over three floors with lift access to each floor.
There are
two Lounges, three Dining Rooms and a Conservatory, a treatment room, a
small shop, a hair salon and a large well equipped laundry.
The
grounds are laid out as a pleasure garden and there are two patio
areas.
Public
transport is only a short walk away and the main town of Hastings is
also within walking distance.
